Global Fleet Sales Manager – this is what you’ll do
To manage the central negotiation with a portfolio of multinational corporations, (Global Major Accounts or GMA), and the coordination of supporting National Sales Companies to win Global Supply Framework agreements, which allow NSCs and Retailers to supply cars at a national level.
To support the business development of a cluster of NSCs, focusing on optimising their day-to-day business performance, being their principal support, and being the expert on how they should work effectively and efficiently in tomorrow’s marketplace reflecting the Region’s strategic direction.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
• Supported by the Global Fleet Business Centre, negotiate framework agreements with GMAs at the senior level, often via complex tenders, secure the contract and then drive subsequent implementation, and ultimately secure contract renewal
• Maximise profitable sales, with a joint strategy with NSCs to deliver annual objectives (volume, process, and activities)
• Identify new customers from prospecting, attending seminars and conferences, often in conjunction with NSCs, and via relationships with external stakeholders such as leasing and fleet management companies
• Support the business development of a cluster of NSCs within EMEA, being their “go-to” for support and direction for winning and retaining local fleet business
• Regularly review the sales channel performance of the cluster NSCs to apprise management, and support them in appropriate discussions and actions
• Be familiar with the processes and activities of the assigned NSCs, and the competence of the people, and initiate remedial action if required, with a focus on optimising the Volvo value chain and lifecycle earnings
• Provide informed input to Fleet Development and other VCG stakeholders to develop best practices, strategies and guidelines for an effective central and local approach to fleet sales channels
• Be aware of trends and developments to inform the future direction
• Support Fleet Development and NSCs with global fleet events

Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 year sales experience with 3 years Fleet sales experience, preferably in international sales, with outstanding negotiating skills
• Education – Degree or equivalent (Desired)
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong verbal & written communication skills, with business English
• Very high focus on delivering all objectives and able to ‘own’ all tasks to conclusion
• Ability to carry out frequent international travel & work away from home
• Developed global business understanding and acumen, with an open-minded, culturally aware, cross-functional working style which looks beyond the status quo
• Knowledge of Volvo products, key competitors, and the wider industry
