For division Stationary Crushing and Screening and our Global Planning team, we’re looking for someone to take on the position as Global Freight Process Owner in Svedala. This is a central and global role where you get the opportunity make your mark on our business in an open and collaborative group!
Your mission
In this position, you control the commercial impact of the complete range of activities within global logistics. As process owner, you lead change within the area and implement new ways of working when necessary, and you communicate our requirements for RFQs to select TMS, new systems and carriers. You’re responsible for administering an effective system that meets our needs of efficient transportation of raw materials, component parts and finished goods - making sure that our processes are followed and that they are in line with our overall strategy for Global Planning initiatives.
Our mission is clear - to develop freight processes that keep freight costs & service under a certain level and supporting our strategy. By ensuring that we select the best carriers suited to our needs and strategy, and continuously evaluate carrier performance, you make sure we get the best possible service needed for our business. Part of this is to optimize our way of transport, such as milk rounds, consolidations, and different routes. One example is to collaborate and share knowledge of our processes with our Control Towers to optimize our way of working and implementing new activities for different flows. You also make sure that there is an open and continuous stream of communication between carriers and our business to make sure that we’re all up to speed on current situations. Taking lead in developing our freight systems or ERPs, you also test and document the results, and you make sure that all material and data input in our systems are correct. Providing systems- and process-training for the business, you’re an enabler in making sure our key stakeholders keep their pace.
Some travel is a natural part of your job under normal circumstances.
Your character
We’re looking for someone with previous experience working with freight and process development. You have a relevant academic degree, or the equivalent experience, along with previous experience of stakeholder management. Your technical aptitude, data and analytical skills allows you to translate data into useful insights and actions, and, as we act in a global setting, you need excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

With a holistic view on both the business and your own work, you easily plan, prioritize and maintain a high focus on your delivery in optimizing our processes and workflows. As a networking team player, you know that successful delivery and a job well done is a team effort, and as you’re an important point of contact for, and a liaison between Sandvik and our partners, you successfully interact with different stakeholders on all levels. Last but not least, we put great value in your excellent communication skills, as you present information, requirements and solutions in a way that is clear and easy to understand.
