The Global Graduate Programme is a 2-year career-boosting programme designed around your potential as a future key contributor in a global organisation. The programme takes you on a journey through Volvo Cars, as you get to try out working in different departments, doing rotations every 4-6 months and starting out in the department which you are recruited to.
Guiding you on this journey will be your sponsor, the manager who recruits you as a graduate. Besides this, the programme also offers senior mentorship from other senior leaders within the company, and you will also get developed business understanding and personal development training.
Volvo Cars welcomes around 50 graduates every year and by becoming part of the programme you are joining a fantastic community of other young professionals. Throughout the programme you will do common graduate projects, different activities, and learnings together with the other graduates.
For Electrification graduates, we are offering positions within the areas of:
* Electrical Engineering
* Mechanical/Mechatronics
* Modelling & Simulation
* Battery Technology
* Battery Cell Chemistry
We want to build a diverse graduate team with competences in battery chemistry, electronics, complex systems simulation and Hardware Design. Together we will support a new level of electric performance and efficiency.
Are you one of our new graduates?
We are looking for graduates who are curious, like to create together with others and want to make a difference. You are self-driven, seeking out and grabbing new opportunities and pursuing them enthusiastically, interested in developing yourself, others and our business.
In order to be considered for this programme, you must have completed a Master’s degree in Mechanical & Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry,
Material Science, Physics or similar prior to the start of the programme mid-August 2023. You can also apply if you have already graduated, as long as you don’t have more than one year full-time working experience after graduating. Lastly, you need to be fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Finally – some practicalities.
The Global Graduate programme starts mid-August 2023. Besides a full-time permanent employment from start, you also have 30 vacation days per year, wellness vouchers to spend on healthcare activities and other benefits offered to all our employees.

The programme is open to applicants from all over the world and we welcome diversity in all aspects. For international applicants – Volvo Cars will support in the relocation process. The extent of the process varies depending on nationality, current location and other individual circumstances.
