About the team
You will lead the Inventory & Purchasing team, consisting of three buyers, one inventory planner and one analyst. You will report to the Global Planning & Merchandising Director.
GANT is currently on a journey towards a centralized buying & merchandising function, where we together are working towards the vision of unified commerce. This role will be a key function in the process to create a seamless merchandise flow through our inventory!
Responsibilities
Maximize sales across all channels and markets through a comprehensive understanding of sales, demand, and inventory flow
Utilize expertise in sales to optimize revenue generation and drive business growth and cost controls for inventory
Implement effective reporting mechanisms and ensure timely follow-up on a weekly basis
Foster collaboration and communication across different departments to achieve sales goals
Leverage cross-functional relationships to identify areas for improvement and implement strategic initiatives
Stay up-to-date with market trends and competition to proactively identify new opportunities
Develop and execute sales strategies to drive customer acquisition and retention
Analyze sales data and metrics to identify areas of improvement and implement actionable solutions
Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on sales performance analysis
Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate effective decision-making processes
Your skills
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or equivalent
3-5 years of professional experience in inventory control or forecasting/planning analyst role
Proven leadership experience in successfully leading and managing teams to achieve organizational goals
Comprehensive understanding of financial measurements such as sales, gross margin, gross margin return on investment, weeks on hand, weeks of supply, etc., and the ability to positively impact these metrics
Expertise in inventory management, shrink, and profit margins
Proficiency in the fashion industry and knowledge of different channels of distribution
Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize workload, adapt to change, and maintain composure under pressure
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a solid understanding of systems
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications especially Excel
Fluent in written and spoken English
