Global Head of Standard Packaging
In this role you will be in the heart of our packaging development and be an important player in the strategic transformation.
As the Head of Standard Packaging, you are accountable for leading a team which is responsible for the development of packaging concept development to industrialization of our packaging towards car and component plants globally, internally engineered packaging as well as via collaboration partners. As part of the Global Packaging management team within Inbound Logistics and Packaging you will be part of developing strategies and drive efficiency projects.

What you will do
* Lead the global packaging engineering team within Standard Packaging
* Plan, organize and direct the packaging engineering in accordance with VPDS (Volvo Product Development system) and logic plan.
* Secure car program deliveries by adequate staffing, competence building, and employee development
* Source and lead external partnerships.
* Be the center of excellence for standard packaging within Volvo Cars.
* Active member of the global packaging management team in strategic planning, overall budgeting and staffing, and execution of these to ensure delivery of the organization’s responsibilities.

* Bachelor of Science within Logistic and/or Mechanical engineering.
* Strong knowledge on packaging development within the car industry, minimum 10 years’ experience.
* Extensive multi-discipline experience within Automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier
* Proven track record of successful line manager skills.
* Experience from leading people from APAC/US.
* Strong network and knowledge in Volvo Cars logistics and manufacturing.
* Strong Business acumen and E2E understanding.


You will report to the Head of Global Packaging within Inbound and Logistics. The role will be placed in Gothenburg, Sweden.
