What's in it for you?
You will be part of the Management team of the Global Manufacturing Digital product area and will be responsible for the cluster Global IT sites, focusing on IT infrastructure, factory support, and the local DevOps teams for any Volvo Cars manufacturing site. Your teams will cover project work and 24/7 support in the 10 factories with very high attention to the Operational stability of our digital deliveries at the sites as well as digital transformation. The local IT Managers will report directly to you, as well as technical specialists in the area of cybersecurity and factory infrastructure.
To succeed in this role, we believe you need to be a servant leader, skilled in senior stakeholder management, and a true team player having a passion for leading and developing others, that have embraced an agile mindset and culture. You are a person with a high degree of digital maturity and interest. You are well experienced in working with suppliers and third parties, in a global context and with distributed teams.
What you’ll do:
• Own and develop cluster roadmap; contribute to product area & -unit roadmap, being end-to-end accountable for digital deliveries within the factories.
• Build an effective Factory Support team
• Own the factory infrastructure and maximize up-time in the IT landscape, establishing processes to introduce changes and avoid disturbances.
• Assess metrics, including evaluating business value achieved versus plan.
• Coordinating content dependencies with Product Managers/Product Owners
• Continuously develop your skills and help the local teams to develop theirs.
• Own and communicate the vision and strategy, serving as the “content authority”, contributing to defining and prioritizing the needed changes over product releases.
• Understand, drive and control the financial aspects of the cluster.
Who you are:
We’re looking for you who have a BSc, MSc, or equivalent experience with a genuine interest in digital solutions, familiarity with DevOps, and experience in working with several roles within the digital ecosystem in the manufacturing domain. You have experience in Industry 4.0 solutions and large-scale IT management experience in a global context as we have manufacturing sites in multiple locations around the globe, with a good understanding of Agile, Lean, and Scrum. We see you have administrative skills for budget forecasting and follow-up and are fluent in English, verbal and written. You enjoy acting as a servant leader and leading by example.
As a person you are excellent at communication, presenting, and relationship-building with teams and global stakeholders. You are able to inspire and motivate the teams in working towards a common goal. We see you are a result-oriented, energetic, forward-thinking, and collaborative person with the ability to engage input from others constantly, you always push for innovation. We see you are comfortable working in a global context. Being flexible is one of your major skills, always open to new ideas, and always looking for ways to improve. You have a holistic viewpoint and are value-oriented, with an ability to inspire and motivate others in working toward a goal.
