Power Solutions is the business area within Scania that develops and market power systems and associated services for a broad range of industrial and marine applications based on the synergies of the commercial vehicles.
Despite recent times of unrest, business has continued to flourish and as all conditions exist to meet the coming technological shifts in the pursuit of a more sustainable society, the Power Solutions business is also facing an exciting future.
But sustainable development in the world requires stable peace, which in turn requires national defence, which ultimately requires a defence industry in order to meet future threats and needs. And Scania Power Solutions is dedicated to contribute to the aforementioned by offering its products and services, yet in a business sustainable way. And since the strategy implemented in recent years to work close to the defence industry has positioned Power Solutions for a significant business growth, Defence sales will be a strategic part of the Power Solutions business going forward.
The Assignment
As a Global Key Account Manager within Defence sales at Power Solutions, your responsibilities will include managing both existing customers as well as to develop new customer opportunities, covering all stages from initial technical discussions to customer serial deliveries. Due to the complexity of the complete product and the nature of public tenders, the sales cycle can span over several years before any serial deliveries from Power Solutions become a reality. Continuously managing and developing the customer relationships regardless of its degree of maturity, is therefore key.
You will also take lead in coordinating all activities within Scania that will occur during the various phases related not only to sales, but also product- and service development by using cross functional teams consisting of members both from the factory and relevant distributors. Furthermore, the role will require you to actively represent your cases in cross-functional processes and decision meetings at Scania factory level to ensure that customer expectations and deadlines are met.
About you
We believe that you are a business- and people oriented person, who enjoys working in an international environment and is motivated by building relations with others. You will contribute with your ability to cooperate, to organize the work cross-functionally, and with your interest in working closely with customers which will require your ability to travel.
You have a university degree and at least three years of relevant work experience within complex technical sales or procurement and is a business oriented leader with a strong personality. Previous experience within the defence industry would be considered a strong advantage.
