You will report to the Head of Global Product Planning.

Global Product Planning is a team of 10 people within Product & Project Management Department.
At Product planning we keep up to date with competition, market, and technology development, as well as our current product performance through direct involvement and a global network. Through a global and long-term perspective, we are on top of trends as well as current and future opportunities and goals. Based on investigations and a global business perspective, we recommend direction and way forward in all products related strategic topics to the company.
Considering the continued urbanisation world-wide, there is an increasing concern about congestion and the environment. Since public transporting by bus plays a vital role in the solution, we expect an interesting and challenging future.
We are now looking for a Maintenance Portfolio manager, who has the drive and passion to contribute to Volvo Buses profitability and who sees that the key to success in this role is cross functional co-operation and well-balanced prioritization of project initiatives to meet future business goals.

Job description

You will head the planning of our portfolio to ensure that we start the prioritized project initiatives in due time to secure predictable launch. You will gather our different initiatives and prioritize start up together with our Range Management Team. Creating the startup priority and ensuring good planning requires stakeholder management skills and cross functional co-operation. 
We also strive to improve the way of working so it is important that you can drive change.
 You will have the opportunity to work in a highly international and multi-functional network environment consisting of our Business units, Product planning, Product Development, After Market and Production.

Your main responsibilities will include: 
•    Keep the portfolio of new initiatives updated and prioritized to ensure that correct initiatives will be started in due time. (This is an input to PI-planning every 10 weeks)
•    Propose portfolio priorities to Range management team and identify bottle necks to resolve.
•    Plan and balance the portfolio towards the availability of different functions; PD, Production and Aftermarket.
•    Stakeholder management and communication skills.
•    Improving the way of working to improve efficiency.
•    Contribute to predictable launch by a good start-up.

You have a have a customer and business-oriented mind-set, with experience from managing the needs of stakeholders from a variety of cultures and backgrounds.
