We’re now looking for a Global Manager of Procurement Process & Tools to join our team at Seco Tools – an excellent opportunity to lead and develop a team of professionals and secure that our sourcing activities and processes are aligned globally to seize cost reduction opportunities by improving the organization’s buying patterns.
The zero CO2 emission goal in 2050, that Seco Tools has committed to, will be of crucial importance for the sourcing strategy and activities in the coming decade. Together with your international team, you will minimize administration by implementing and using a digital platform to follow-up on activities and results, ensuring compliance with local legislation and the company’s ethical standards. About the job
In this position, you lead a team of process and tools specialists, process improvers, project managers – setting the strategic direction of the procurement process excellence. You have the opportunity to review, analyze, improve, and automate existing procurement processes in alignment with our different stakeholders at Seco, but also following the guidelines from the Sandvik group.
By leading continuous improvement within process documentation, KPI’s and tools (process maps, way of working activities, measurement specifications, IT tools and learning material etc.), you enable reliable processes, procedures, and systems to comply with our targets towards sustainable customer-supplier relationships. You work with the IT team to develop efficient tools to be used in various procurement activities and add value.
You report to the Procurement Director, within the Operations Management team of Seco Tools.
The location for this position is primarily in Fagersta, or near one of our Seco Tools sites.
Your profile
We’re looking for someone who has a good understanding of the procurement process development and methodology, with experience gained through education in a relevant field of studies or work experience from a similar role. You’re skilled in Office 365 and have general competencies in systems and processes. This position calls for excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to set and work towards clear goals. Also, leadership abilities with a LEAN perspective are beneficial, and knowledge and understanding of ERP system such as M3 is also good to have.
We’re genuinely interested in your personal skills and your key to success in this position is your strategic and well-organized way of working. You’re analytical and have a perfect eye for details. Acting in a global environment requires extensive English skills, both verbally and in writing.
