Global Operations Managers

Two managers within Infrastructure Operations have decided to take on new challenges.This gives you the opportunity to apply for an exciting position leading one Infrastructure Operation Team to reach objectives and customer satisfaction.Infrastructure Operations deliver and operate the IT infrastructure for Sandvik AB around the globe.The two open positions are as Global Operations Manager for iSeries and Sandnet (IT Communication).Key performance areas As Global Operations Manager at Sandvik IT Services you are responsible for the delivery of one operations area.You are one of three people responsible for the Service Areas finance, delivery, and technical platform.Your focus is to make sure delivery is running smoothly, to follow up costs, and insure that the right technologies are in use and that delivery is following Sandvik IT Services standard processes. To help you, you have highly competent technicians both in Sandviken and out at the local Sandvik IT Services sites, around the globe.You take an active role in supporting the Team Manager to lead the people to the right competence, objectives and salary.You will be measured on how well you keep to the budget, how you lead your Team and how satisfied your customers are.Your main responsibilities are to: -Deliver according to Descriptions and Agreements, balancing cost-effectiveness, quality and agility -Plan and prioritize the day-to-day work for the Global Team -Make sure that the service is operated according to SITS processes and standard routines -Make a budget for the service, follow up the costs and correct the budget in quarterly forecasts -Continuously improve the delivery -Work with strategies and long term improvements -Be the holder of the account for the IT Service and approve invoices -Be responsible for overall resource planning, including staffing numbers -Work closely with the Team Manager and continually give feedback about staff performance -Contribute to the management of contracts and agreements with vendors Your profile We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in leading others, who possesses the knowledge to build a sustainable and competent team.You appreciate working in a multicultural environment and understand both the difficulties and the advantages of leading from a distance, as a number of your resources are located abroad.You have an intuitive feeling for prioritizing and can quickly adjust your plans when conditions change.You are open to your co-workers?recommendations and suggestions for improvements and keep these ideas in mind when you and the team establish the foundation for a Service delivery that will measure up in the future. Documented experience of leadership is beneficial, and so is technical experience in the area.However, to succeed in the position as Global Operations Manager, the most important requirements are that you have the right spirit, the right leadership qualities, the ability to co-operate with different kinds of people and a rational method for planning both daily and tactical work.
