We’re now looking for our new Global PR and Media Relations Director.
Are you passionate about sustainable transport solutions? Do you want to be part of a huge transformation in the industry? If so, you might be exactly who we’re looking for – as the new Global PR and Media Relations Director for Volvo Trucks.
In this role you will be part of the Global Brand & Corporate Communication team at Volvo Trucks. We are a group of creative, engaged, curious and driven people who value new ideas and prestige-free collaboration across our global organization.
The role:
The press function consists of two Media Relations Directors working closely together, and you will be one of them – driving and executing the global PR agenda. You will work with both strategic PR planning and operational tasks such as press releases, media contacts and film productions.
Another important task will be to coach and develop the competence of our worldwide network of public relations professionals, on a country level. You will be one of the company’s spokespersons in the media.
This is you:
You know what makes a good story, and you will proactively search for potential news throughout the entire global organization.
You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and extensive experience of PR in a global organization. You are passionate about finding new ways to increase attention and engagement in a digital media landscape, including social media channels.
You are an experienced writer, fluent in English and Swedish, and can easily adjust your writing style to different channels and target groups.
You have a business-oriented mindset with experience in managing the needs of stakeholders from a variety of cultures and backgrounds. You are a team player and enjoy collaborating and sharing knowledge with colleagues from all around the world.
You have a university degree in journalism, communications or similar, and several years of experience in the field of public relations. Knowledge from the automotive industry is an advantage.
