Product Management Industrial is looking for
Global Pricing Manager
Main responsibilities:
Develop and implement a global pricing strategy across the markets in alignment with the Industrial Business Unit Strategy.
Manage the industrial global gross price list. Develop and distribute standard price packages for existing and upcoming products, new items, annual price revisions and system updates.
Perform product, platform, portfolio and customer profitability analysis. Create recommendations to optimize profitability.
Set targets for price realization for the different Industrial subsegments, communicate targets and follow-up performance.
Support and secure global price harmonization and establish discounts guidelines across markets,
Support the Product Planning and Product Development department on new projects with market price targets and establish price positioning of new products.
Perform competitor price analysis.
Support the sales functions in markets with business case studies and material to support in customer negotiation.
Support and drive pricing process improvements in cooperation with the Global Pricing Team.
Develop pricing tools and support the work to get a managed pricing system.
Represent the Industrial Business Unit in relevant projects and forums.
You will report to the Director Strategy and Business Development at Product Management Industrial.
The job requires close contact with the sales functions in markets for industrial engines and components in order to develop the market know-how. There are repeatedly presentations, discussion and meetings regarding suggested Global Pricing strategy, harmonization and price realisation with sales functions. The function also requires close cooperation with the Industrial Business Unit Controller, the Business Controller of Volvo Penta PPP as well as the Global Cost Controller to perform a proper financial follow-up of concerned topics.
Occasional travel is required.
Skills & Profile:
University degree in relevant field (business and/or technical) or experience to equivalent level
Structured way of working
Excellent communication and Networking skills
Self Driven, Team Player seeking continuous improvement
Experience in Global Pricing strategy, Execution, and Strategic analysis
Fluent in English
Prior experience in similar industry background and international exposure is a plus
Customer Oriented with a business mindset
Advanced knowledge of IT- applications such as Power BI, Qlick View, Excel and Power Point
