Who are we?
Volvo Cars is a company on a mission; to bring traditional car manufacturing into a connected, sustainable and smart future.
Since 1927, we have been a brand known for our commitment to safety, creating innovative cars that make life less complicated for our consumers. In 2010, we decided to transform our business, resulting in a totally new generation of cars and technologies, as well as steady growth and record sales. Today, we’re expanding our global footprint in Europe, China and the US, and we’re on the lookout for new talent.
We are constantly pushing our own skills and abilities to drive change in the automobile industry like never before. We are looking for innovative, committed people to join us in this endeavour and create safe, sustainable and connected cars. We believe in the power of people and will challenge and support you to reach your full potential. Join us and be part of Volvo Cars’ journey into the future.
What’s in it for you?
As a Global Pricing & Portfolio Optimization Analyst, you will be part of the Global pricing, revenue management, and portfolio optimization team, within the Global online Experience unit of Volvo Cars. We focus on building price structures, models, and plans to suit our customers’ needs, which can be deployed in a fully digital environment across all Volvo markets.
This is a role with a global focus, covering all Volvo Cars markets, but with a specific focus on online direct-to-consumer sales. You will solve challenging problems in a unique environment – blending the startup culture of the Global Online Experience and the mature business of Volvo Cars – with a talented and motivated team. The position will be based in Gothenburg or Stockholm.
What you will do
In this position, you will use data analytics to build strategies to optimize the pricing and the fleet portfolio. Continuously analyze and monitor the fleet situation in all markets. By using analysis and residual value calculations you will be able to support stakeholders with the necessary data.
You will work alongside our developers as an expert in improving and automate monitoring and reporting of the fleet situation and residual values. The role also includes proposing actions and strategies together with pricing analysts to mitigate portfolio risks or business opportunities.
You and your skills
To succeed in this role, we believe your background and skills include:
* Working with databases and querying
* Experience producing fact-based solutions to problems
* Working with financial modeling
* University degree in a quantitative field (Physics, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)
As a person, we believe you are persistent when solving problems and an excellent communicator who values the team and contributes to making the whole team successful. And we believe you can easily articulate complex ideas and conclusions to senior stakeholders and are fluent in English.
