We at Offer Management are now looking for a Global Product Application Manager – Grades, to join our exciting journey. The Product Application Management department is responsible for raising and spreading the application knowledge to secure that Sandvik Coromant has a competitive offer of products, methods, and application know-how in line with our business strategy. We work together in teams where the Global Product Application Manager collects, develops, and shares metal cutting and application knowledge, focusing on the area of grades.
Your mission
As a Global Product Application Manager, you support the organization with extensive product and application knowledge through training, and you’re involved in the development of new products. A large part of the job is conducted within our global network, especially managing tasks such as collecting customer needs, identifying market requirements, and forecasting future trends. In addition, you provide high quality technical information and support to develop training, and you also support product introductions.
In this role, you collaborate closely with R&D, Product Management, Marketing, Sales and, most importantly, our customers. The location for this position is in Sandviken or Västberga, Sweden, and travel is a natural part of your job.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with an engineering degree in a relevant field, or the equivalent knowledge gained from working within technical sales, product management, product development or similar within the metal cutting industry. You have a genuine interest in, and a deep technical understanding of metal cutting as well as a passion for innovation and problem solving. Experience with carbide grades and cutting materials is an advantage. This position involves many international contacts and some business travels, which requires fluency in spoken and written English.
