We are looking for an ambitious Global Product Manager to join our ImmunoDiagnostics Division’s (IDD) Global Marketing Allergy Lifecycle team. The Allergy Lifecycle team leads the product strategy and roadmap for IDD’s IgE diagnostics.

As Global Product Manager Allergy, you will develop the strategy for a new line of immunodiagnostic products in the Allergy field, to maximize short- and long-term market growth in line with the company strategy. Responsibilities span the full product-life-cycle management period. This includes collaborating to define the goals for market research, clinical evidence, and market expansion strategy, as well as definition and execution of customer requirements, product launch, and product care activities.

We are looking for someone who will pave the way for successful partnership, development, and launch of new IgE diagnostics on a global scale. The role will start with building relationships with partners and customers in target markets, to be able to make a market analysis and develop a solid go-to-market strategy. The position will focus on developing product strategy and roadmap, positioning and marketing tools at all stages of the product lifecycle.

The role will be a Global position based at our HQ in Uppsala, Sweden with international travel up to 25% per year.

Division Specific Information

The ImmunoDiagnostics Division (IDD) develops, manufactures, and markets complete blood test systems to support the clinical diagnosis and follow-up of allergy and autoimmune diseases. With 1,900 employees worldwide, IDD is the global leader in in vitro IgE testing for allergy and also the European leader in autoimmunity diagnostics. The allergy and autoimmunity product lines operate on a common automated instrument platform, Phadia Laboratory Systems, which supports both productivity and cost efficiencies in clinical laboratories around the world.

What will you do?

• Product leadership
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the global market for product area
• Develop value propositions, positioning, and go-to-market strategy for product line
• Drive and coordinate development of marketing collateral and educational assets related to launching/promoting new and existing products
• Create and foster a strong team spirit and take on the role of ‘product champion’
• Lead the preparation of business cases and product requirements in close collaboration with commercial teams and R&D, ensuring customer needs and business expectations are met
• Take day-to-day operational decisions related to product quality, supply prioritization, and customer support, balancing short- and long-term commercial impact and customer expectations

The ideal candidate will have:

• Scientific and/or business degree, or equivalent work experience and skills
• A track record as Product Manager or similar marketing roles with a clear product ownership
• Experience from working internationally (being active on a global arena)
• Experience or education in the fields of immunology and in-vitro diagnostics, particularly related to asthma and allergic conditions, will be highly valued
• Knowledge/experience from Regulatory environment is a merit
• Good knowledge in relevant IT-tools, MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Fluent in English, oral and written
