The Global Product Management department at Roxtec is responsible for ensuring optimal commercial product performance. The function has a responsibility for the global product offer including new and existing solutions, as it relates to product positioning, performance, and new product introductions. The department also has responsibility for driving product development from market research to launch.
The position
As Global Product Manager, you will play a key part in our international team as you define and manage your product portfolio for the global market according to Roxtec’s strategy and priorities. To accomplish this, you will interact daily with development, supply, quality management and logistics as well as with our markets around the world to bring our innovative products to our customers.
In this role you will have global responsibility for driving a product portfolio to achieve product market leadership. You are considered the business owner of your portfolio. You will evaluate the market to identify market potential, always with customer needs in mind. You will work closely with the business area organizations to define business opportunities and prioritize according to the global strategies. Also, you will monitor and evaluate competition within your portfolio. You will define the product roadmap within your portfolio and the necessary develop business cases to support product development projects.
This position reports to the Group Product Manager within the Global Products department.
Main responsibilities
• Support in the creation of strategic decision proposals based on all market facts, results of the analyses (competitor, SWOT, target segments, etc.), evaluations (KPIs, product profitability), further information on the business plan as well the calculation of the business case
• Collaborating with product team members to define the product vision and product strategy
• Researching the target market and buyer personas
• Speaking with customers to gather feedback
• Contribute to product roadmap and product requirements
• Analyzing data for problems and potential solutions
• Working with other departments to ensure product deadlines are met
• Preparing for product launches
• Internal product training and education material
• Collecting and analyzing competitor intelligence
• Assist with business intelligence analysis
Good to have
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Previous experience working with industrial B2B products and product development
• Experience in project management
• English language, both spoken and written
• Flexibility to travel up to 25%
You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You are organized and focused on customer satisfaction and delivery of high quality. You enjoy teamwork and contribute with team spirit. You have excellent communication skills and the ability to create and maintain a strong internal network. You are open to new ideas and experiences, seek knowledge and handle situations and problems with creativity, but you can also relate to well-known standards and methodologies.
