ABB are market leaders in the hoisting industry and have a large installed base around the world. In this role you will form part of the Global Product Line team and will be responsible for maintaining and implementing the service strategy and growing our service business with all the units around the world. You will also be responsible for the product roadmap, and market introduction of new services/products.
In this role you will report to Global Product Line Manager Hoisting.
Your responsibilities
Your main mission will be to develop the performance and profitability of your business unit by setting targets and driving the targets.
Establishing long term customer relationships with key customers and decision makers by understanding the requirements, regulations and exhibiting high expertise in technical solutions and products.
Creating, planning, and delivering the strategies for service.
Product development and defining product roadmap to meet market demands.
Collaborating to position different service offerings by evaluating and sharing relevant information on installed base data, sales leads, customer’s and competitor’s solutions and marketing trends with the team.
Market introduction of new services.
Creating a culture where health, safety and integrity are key.
Your background
10 years of experience in developing service business for service in the electrical and automation market, working as a leader to manage profitable growth.
Electrical/ Mechanical engineering background or other relevant education along with a genuine interest in service business.
Sound knowledge of and hands-on experience in servicing, maintaining, commissioning and repairing for installed base and new projects.
Experience from the mining or pulp and paper industry is a plus, but not required.
As a leader, you are driven, innovative, persistent and proactive. You are also a true team player who thrives in a multicultural environment. With your collaborative and communicative skills, you have the ability to inspire your team to great performance to meet the goals.
Ready to learn, willing to grow with the role and a strong desire to develop new and existing services, tools and processes.
Enjoy guiding, motivating and developing people in cross-functional teams.
Willingness to travel 50%.
Fluent in English, written and spoken alike.
