Global Product Manager, Soil Rollers

Job description
Dynapac is looking for a Global Product Manager for the Soil Roller program. These machines range from 4,5 up to 20 tons. Soil compaction is a crucial part of every road, rail road and airport project around the world. As Dynapac is represented on all major markets, your machines will be a part of building a sustainable infrastructure for the future in all parts of the world. The Global Product Manager for Soil Rollers carries the overall responsibility for the Soil roller program in terms of product offering, profitability follow-up, market share and optimized production location.
The responsibilities also include being the driving force in collecting and analyzing information on market developments in order to always stay ahead of the trends. It is important to maintain a global overview with focus on the major markets.
The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
-The product manager has the global ownership of the product range regardless of production location. To deliver the best product mix to all markets utilizing our market oriented production facilities must always be the main objective.
-The responsibility to always make sure the product offering is in line with the market demands is a key focus area. Therefore, it is vital to have regular and frequent contact with the different regions. This includes visits to gather first-hand information from dealers and customers.
-Create and maintain relevant Market Demand Specification documents based on relevant and up-to-date information.
-Closely follow the development in the own segment and to look to outside influences for potential future development and trends to adapt. Take and develop initiatives in order to lead rather than to follow in the segment in order to achieve differentiation in a rather commoditized product.
-To follow-up and analyze market share development and the potential in our key markets and future growth markets.
-Drive the product development activities from the customer’s perspective and challenge existing norms and beliefs when required.
-To develop the product portfolio with the objective of having the best overall offering within the different market segments.
-To interact with all Factories and Sales Companies in a constructive,
productive and unselfish way that supports the development of synergies and the
consolidated result and performance of Business Unit Compaction.
-Local Product Company contact for product and market related questions.


This position will require international travels.


Educational requirements
-Technical and commercial education/background or similar
-Good understanding of MS office tools
-Fluent in English, other languages are meriting
Experience/Knowledge
-Good commercial understanding and interest in the product management process is required
-International work experience in sales, marketing, product mgmt or similar is required.


Personality
You are communicative and solution oriented with good presentation skills. You have a strong drive to make things happen, and you are a strong team player. Genuinely interested in all aspects of the road construction business as the job involves everything from job site visits and discussions with operators to business meeting with company management teams.
