As Global Project Manager in Sustainable Logistic, you will use your knowledge, experience, and network to make the entire supply chain sustainable for our costumer.

In this role, you will act as a key stakeholder to ensure that processes, systems, and supplier pre-conditions are engineered to support our ambition to become a completely emission free OEM, from cradle to grave.

With focus on the areas of supply chain management, advanced logistic engineering, warehousing, production and transport & distribution. You will play a leading role in the expansion of our sustainable logistics branch. You will focus on themes such as efficient logistics, the application of circularity, carbon footprint, electrification and charging infrastructure.
The role will be a part of the Order to Delivery team within Quality and Logistic but you’ll also be heavily involved with advanced engineering and be part of the project zero initiative. The position is located at our HQ in Gothenburg
What you'll do
You will solve various logistical problems in this area on a project basis. You will be working with the wider Logistics and Advanced Engineering community looking at new concepts and transportation means. A large emphasize will be on supporting (https://www.polestar.com/global/sustainability/climate-neutrality/polestar-0-project/)initiative.
Examples of projects and work tasks:
- Development of Quality & Logistics sustainability strategy, ensuring that the set-up of activities in order to delivery area are sustainable, measurable, and innovative
- Formulating and monitoring objectives, KPIs, improvement and innovation projects for improved environmental performance within Order to Delivery.
- Leading projects for design & process improvements for increased circularity and sustainable efficiency
- Developing technology & analytic tools for developing and optimize green solutions within the distribution process.
- Optimizing the entire vehicle distribution chain of network to become more sustainable
- Making investigations and advice around the sustainability policy regarding transport and logistics
- Monitoring, scoring and benchmarking CO2 performance in the global distribution chain for shippers and carriers.
- Leading the work in setting guideline, processes within our scope of sustainability.
- Supporting all parts of the organization in achieving best practice with regards to environmental and sustainability criteria
Who you are
We see a person that is passionate about sustainable logistics. That has an extensive knowledge in supply chain mgmt. and distribution logistic. Your top priority and interest are green logistic and how to make it more efficient from a sustainability point of view. You are from the ground a solution driver and turns any problem into possibilities. Your mind likes to find new ways and be innovative.
To be a great fit for this role, we are looking for you with a ‘can-do’ attitude, with good organizational skills consisting of attention to details and the ability to multi-task. You enjoy analytical problem-solving. In your broad experience of communicating with different stakeholders, you have gained strong multi-disciplinary skills in business and financial analytics, modeling, strategic planning, marketing and research, public speaking, and negotiation. Additionally, you are comfortable to travel if required, and you have a thorough understanding of project management techniques and methods.
Further on, we are searching for you who have:
- A BSc/BA diploma in management or in a relevant field
- Proven track record of Business Development, Project Management or other managerial positions
- Experience in Business Operations, Distribution or Transport Logistic, Outbound Vehicle Logistics and Supply Chain or Value Chain Management areas
- Excellent knowledge of MS 0365 Suite and performance evaluation and change management principles
- High proficiency in building cases based on large data sets
- Also, it is meritorious if you have a MSc/MA and/or have additional language skills
