About the job
As the Global Project Order HUB Manager - GPHE, you will be a member of the Operations management team. Alongside your team, your responsibilities include enhancing the competitiveness of our engineered solutions, collaborating with Sales to secure orders, and executing high-specification orders with professionalism to meet customer expectations and internal targets. Your main objective is to develop and manage global processes and team competence to fulfil customer and industry requirements based on agreed specifications and regulations. Key areas of expertise required for this role include end-to-end project management, order-specific design engineering, and order engineering. With the evolving energy landscape, it is crucial to ensure Alfa Laval's overall competitiveness, while also addressing the demand for energy efficiency in established markets, making this team a competitive advantage for Alfa Laval.
Key tasks
• Develop and ensure innovation, execution, and profitable growth in our project order business in collaboration with our Business Unit and Sales Companies.
• Develop and lead the GPO GPHE Team, ensuring competence and repeatable processes.
• Review and ensure performance, including order follow-up reviews compared to bid estimates for the entire supply chain.
• Ensure ALPS implementation and process visualization move toward full digital platforms.
• Oversee certified sites and their development according to plans.
• Participate in joint management team meetings (combined with eODMM).
• Sites include Sweden, USA, India, and China.
What you know
You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering. To succeed in this position, you need a minimum of 5 years of experience in the supply of highly engineered products, with a focus on specific industries such as Nuclear, Oil and Gas, and Clean Technology. Prior managerial experience is also key to thriving in this position. Project Management is a must, along with extensive experience working with customers and meeting third-party requirements. A background in continuous improvement/Six Sigma and innovating concepts/processes in manufacturing supply chains is required. Effective stakeholder alignment and team leadership are also crucial for making an impact on our business.
