Global Purchasing Commodity Manager

We have recently been established as an independent company, having been part of the Electrolux Group.Due to the establishment of the new company then we now wish to appoint a Global Purchasing Commodity Manager to develop and deliver purchasing strategy for the business.


Global Purchasing Commodity Manager - OEM Electric Products

The successful candidate will report to the Senior VP Purchasing based in Sweden and will be responsible for the following - the responsibility includes the purchases of OEM products for the Husqvarna Group globally, also North America:

. . .To conduct negotiations with suppliers & place commercial contracts as required by Global Purchasing
.To regularly assess existing suppliers to improve cost of finished goods
.To participate in Make Versus Buy projects, in order to assess the cost efficiency of internally manufactured product versus the cost to purchase from external suppliers
.To ensure regular assessments of suppliers' quality, supply chain reliability and financial capabilities are carried out; whilst taking a pro-active approach to driving supplier improvement initiatives, particularly supply chain and total quality
.To ensure consistent compliance with Group purchasing procedures

Competencies needed
. .A Technical or Business Degree, preferably with an additional professional qualification in purchasing:
.Strong character with good interpersonal skills to work in a multi-national & cross functional team & be capable of driving change
.Strong & proven negotiation & persuasion skills
.Knowledge of Supply Chain & Quality systems
.Strong organizational skills, which ensure that ideas are converted into deliverable projects, within agreed time & budget parameters


Location
Preferably Huskvarna, Sweden.Other alternatives can be Aycliffe, UK.
