Global Purchasing Director to Ewellix in Gothenburg

Ewellix is a global supplier of Linear Motion and Actuation solutions used in Industrial Automation, Medical Applications, Mobile Machinery and Distribution. What you will do

You will contribute to the company’s overall goals and strategy:

• Your mission is to organize, steer and control all purchasing activities within Ewellix Group to increase ROCI
• You lead purchasing-driven decision-making as well as develop and implement the purchasing strategy
• You initiate and expedite specific cost reduction programs
• You select, manage, assess and promote employees for long-term corporate success with a motivated staff
• The Initiation and control of global demand pooling, supplier management and early integration into procurement-related procedures are also in the scope of this function
• You will consolidate the supplier base by bundling of volumes and item numbers, scouting of target regions (EEU, Asia) and driving the supplier selection process
• You will develop, adapt and implement efficient organizations, procedures and processes to continuously detect areas for rationalization and increase profitability
• You will implement Group IT and eBusiness tools for Purchasing to ensure up-to-date information processes as well as benchmarking to build up best-in-class knowledge and initiate improvements
• You will ensure spend transparency across all Ewellix sites, categories and suppliers

Who you are

To be successful in this role you need the following qualification:

• Degree in Engineering, preferably with a post-graduate degree (MBA or MSc)
• 10+ years of experience in working within a complex matrix organization including responsibility for an annual purchasing volume of minimum 500 MSEK
• Able to successfully manage complex supplier developments, work closely with suppliers and drive innovation
• Strategic thinking and strong negotiation skills
• A cost-focused and profitability mind-set
• Strong integrative leadership and communication skills across all hierarchical levels
• Able to build and maintain networks and relationships, inspire others
