Global R&D Manager Exploration Products

Being a new organization, we have identified a need to develop, coordinate and strengthen our R&D efforts and organization to ensure we have the best products in the market.We are therefore looking for a new team member to this new role.You will be working closely with Sandvik Mining and Construction R&D teams, being part of the R&D Council. Key performance areas The areas of responsibility in the role are: . Be responsible for all Product Development activities in the segment, both equipment and aftermarket products, including developing processes and organization.. Identifying synergies and implementing necessary change in the organization and between the product lines to take advantage of the product line synergies.. Analyze and implement a good and efficient way of working to balance R&D and Engineering..Coaching and Competence Development of all R&D Employees..Strategic planning of R&D activities in the segment.Ensuring the market input is driving the R&D activities..Having the correct products and technologies to the market on time.. Responsible for both new designs and upgrades.. Responsible for implementation and maintenance of necessary programs, systems and other tools such as standardization and modularization. Your profile The qualified candidate needs to have a solid experience from managing R&D.A relevant Master's degree and a minimum of 10 years relevant work experience being required.You have a proven track record of understanding the importance of market driven R&D as well as the importance of sufficient time to market.You are confident in the role as a manager and not afraid of changes.You lead by commitment and involvement, by setting objectives and by building a strong team.You can manage from a distance and get others to interact with each other despite geographical boundaries.Quality and customer focus are areas you do not negotiate about.You enjoy working in a diversified team and global travel is not a problem for you.
