The Global Recycling team belongs in this Sustainability function, it supports that technical solutions and equipment at recycling partners are fit for purpose and appropriate to create a profitable business considering end market needs. We explore and evaluate new recycling solutions for the existing and future packaging portfolio and we define and assess requirements to increase recyclability of our packaging. We create, maintain and share know-how about recycling of beverage cartons.
The Global Recycling Value Chain & Innovation Leader is a new position in the Global Recycling team of eight, reporting to the Global Recycling Director. This is a new role, playing a part in meeting Tetra Pak 2030 strategy ambitions.
It is a permanent position, and you will preferably be based in Lund, Sweden. You will though work on a global area which includes travel maximum up to 30% of your time.
What you will do
As our new Global Recycling Value Chain & Innovation Leader the main focus for you is to:
· Drive and coordinate initiatives in recycling innovation and value chain contributing to an increase of the global recycling rate
· Open new collaborations with external partners in recycling technology & innovation (incl. end-market development)
· Define new approaches in recycling value chain and business models, and contribute to decision-making around complex issues
· Own and ensure that operational plans of multiple projects are delivered upon
· Contribute to Development & Engineering design for recycling/recyclability requirements/validation, related to packaging roadmap
· Lead team in exploration of new end-market applications and new sorting and recycling technologies (e.g., digital watermarking and chemical recycling)
· Manage the work of multi-disciplinary projects through project and value chain managers, resource/project prioritization
Who you are
You are a sustainability professional with a track record of leading change working across boundaries and cultures. You have a proven ability to motivate others and engage diverse teams to solve complex problems and achieve ambitious long-term goals.
You have the breadth of experience, knowledge, and competence to represent Tetra Pak in high-level external meetings with customers, base material suppliers, industry representatives, subject matter experts and at conferences and events.
We believe you have:
· MSc or equivalent in a relevant discipline likely with a strong environmental science and economical component
· Minimum 10 years’ experience in business development, innovation management and/or project management in multinational companies
· Proven performance and strong track record
· Strong experience in internal/external business relationship/stakeholder management
· Proven strong people leadership skills
· Preferably solid experience in circular economy value chain area
· Deep understanding for and embracing the value of diversity
