Global Sales and Development Engineer

Your main focus in this position is to create strong customer relationships by providing technical support for the layout of couplers, the definition of Crash Energy concepts in new passenger railway projects, as well as to drive new developments individually or in connection with engineering or external parties.

As a Sales Engineer you are responsible to deliver the most efficient and economic conceptual layout of the coupler following the customers specification as well as our internal preferences. It will also be an important task to evaluate the created technical concepts for the possibility to file new patents in order to protect our products and secure Dellner’s market position. You will work closely to our customers in order to present solutions and acceptance and to be successful, this requires travelling as well as video meetings. Internally you will work in close cooperation with Key Account Managers, Procurement, Engineering and RAMS/LCC.

The role is primarily required for the German Market which requires that you are fluent in both spoken and written German.

 

The Successfull candidate will have the following profile:

Job experiences:


• Minimum of 3 years university degree within the area of the responsibility
• Experience in creating and analysing technical concepts
• Experience in customer contacts about technical concepts
• Experience in application of high tech CAD systems and simulation programs
• Knowledge about creating offer drawings and technical product descriptionsIt´s a plus if you have a proven record in creating new successful solutions and prior experience in working with gangway technology.

• Well organized, highly motivated for the job and with an open attitude
• Ability to understand customer needs and good analytical skills
• Fluent in spoken and written English and German

Traveling will be necessary in accordance with the project requirements.
