The responsibility for this position is to lead the POC Global Sales teams and develop the global sales strategy, maximizing profitability and managing growth in line with the company’s business plan, vision and values. Daily activities include interaction with Marketing, Product, Operations & Supply Chain Managers in order to steer the company forward and ensure smooth co-operation and communication between each division. The Global Sales Director will keep the key stakeholders up to date on sales performance, competitors, market developments and to advice on new revenue streams and business opportunities.
Essential functions:
• Develop the global sales plan for all markets, to all retail outlets (wholesale, distributors, online, POC stores).
• Lead and coach the sales teams, ensuring attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
• Form a part of POCs management team.
• Forecast sales and co-ordinate buy plans with Product team & Supply Chain.
• Provide consumer feedback to Product and planning teams, steering purchasing decisions.
• Provide monthly narrative on sales figures and plans for all regions.
• Evaluate and evolve existing retail channels and sales partners.
• Initiate and co-ordinate actions to grow existing markets and enter new, aspiring markets.
• Work closely with the marketing team to ensure marketing campaigns drive sales.
• Provide accurate records of POC and competitors’ pricing, sales and marketing support.
• Ensure inventory is healthy and not accumulating. Manage sales of discontinued merchandise.

Qualifications:
Education
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Marketing, Operations Management or other related field.
Preferred: Master’s Degree in Business or other related field.

Work Experience
Required: Minimum ten years of experience in International Sales with management responsibility.
Preferred: Public company experience.
Skills and general experience:
• Extensive experience in sales management and proven track record in driving international sales teams.
• Professional experience in consumer businesses (e.g. high end electronics, fashion, sporting goods).
• Knowledge and understanding of bicycle market dynamics.
• Natural leadership skills.
• Great presentation skills.
• Analytical ability to synthesize and communicate key information.
• Ability to forecast.
• Understanding and experience of working with diverse cultures.
• Resourceful and self-motivated.
• Multi-lingual is an advantage, though English is the company’s operating language.
• Passionate about sporting goods including hard goods and soft goods (apparel).
