We are now looking for a Global Sales Engineer to join the New Solutions Initiatives team within the Products & CTO organization. New Solutions Initiatives are managing Axis body worn solutions. https://www.axis.com/en-us/solutions/body-worn-solutions. The position is at Axis HQ in Lund.
Who is your future team?
Our main focus is to plan, develop and manage Axis body worn solutions. Our scope includes e.g. portfolio planning, product planning, managing the products' life cycle, education & training and handling of complex support issues. Our interfaces are both internal such as R&D, Operations, Sales and Marketing as well as external customers, partners and suppliers.
What you will do as Global Sales Engineer
As Global Sales Engineer in New Solutions Initiatives you will work in an engaged team. You will support the Local Sales Engineers in the regions and assist with the prioritization and follow through of large and complex sales projects where technology and business decisions merge. You will be the specialist on the integration of all components of the solution, and the use and performance of the complete solution.
Axis body worn solutions includes hardware, firmware, mobile apps, management software and services and most of the products and functionality you will be working with are developed in our own projects at Axis. You will be expected to provide feedback from the market to the body worn product management team and R&D to help to refine our solutions.
In addition to this you will:
* Deliver regional and global trainings as a solution expert.
* Act proactively as a technical interface to our major global partners
* Act as a trouble shooter and coordinator to solve complex technical problems.
The role involves travelling, up to 25 days per year.
Who are we looking for?
You have a technical interest and natural system solution thinking. You have good communication and networking skills and are senior enough to be comfortable in taking decisions. You are also business oriented and have a good understanding of project sales cycle.
You have Relevant (Bachelor's or Master's) degree or similar and several years' of experience within system engineering and at least some years with customer relations. It is of great value if you have technical knowledge and experience from working with Axis body worn solutions, video management systems, mobile devices, cloud, and computer networks. You also have documented work with system solutions close to end customers.
In addition to this we want you to have:
* A broad cross-cultural experience and ability to collaborate with remote colleagues.
* Fluency in written and oral English
* A pedagogic approach, both spoken and written, when explaining technical matters
* Swedish language skills: not essential, but a distinct advantage
* An excellent understanding of Axis' products and services.
