Manager Global Sales, Business Development & Marketing

Since launching PureBallast in 2006, we’ve achieved a market-leading position and sold over 4000 systems to ship owners and shipyards globally.

As environmental legislation gains momentum, it will drive our business even more rapidly in coming years and we are expanding at a high pace. Now we’re looking for a technical communicator who wants to help us make a difference in the world. So, what are you going to do today?

About the job

Interact with customers and acting within the global Alfa Laval sales organization, you will have the global responsibility for the sales and the expected growth during 2021-2023.

The key objectives will be to continue to drive and develop markets and implement sales strategies to capture the window of opportunity for the retrofit market of ballast water treatment systems.

One key priority will be the responsible for developing the Newbuild shipbuilding market to an also market leading position.

You will have about two handful number of persons reporting to you and your department’s main tasks will be:
* Sales strategy & Business Development and Marketing
* Support our local sales companies with customer meetings, business strategies and contract negotiations
* Review of sales contract terms & conditions
* Meetings with shipowners and shipyards
* Follow-up on sales company performance
* New Business Development and marketing strategies and activities
* Customer price strategy and competitor information
* Have a leading role in the PureBallast/AlfaWall management team

Qualifications & experience:
* Master’s degree, preferably within a commercial or technical field
* Experience from international technical sales
* Key Account Mgmt. experience
* Leadership experience
* Previous knowledge of complex contract negotiations
* Legal basic contract competence of at least basic level
* Experience of Value Based sales processes
* Work experience from maritime industry
* Management team experience

Practicalities

The Global Sales Manager will be based in Stockholm (Tumba), Sweden. The expected starting date is as soon as possible. Expected number of travel days is >60 days/year. The Global Sales Manager reports to the Managing Director of AlfaWall and will be a part of the PureBallast/AlfaWall Management team.
