Alfa Laval in Tumba is looking for a
Global Sales - Renewable Chemicals, Fuels and Plastics
The transformation from fossil to non-fossil-based chemicals has just started and all signs points towards a tremendous growth in a near future, into renewable chemicals, fuels and plastics. We want to take an active part in this crucial development through helping the industry to deploy world class separation processes where needed. We love centrifugal separation and we’re good at it(!) and now we want to tell the world about it! We’re looking for a leader personality that is passionate about technical sales and want to take a global approach to drive the sales of high-speed separators (HSS) for sustainable chemical applications which is our focus area.
The Global Sales group in Business Unit Energy Separation is responsible for the sale of high-speed separator (HSS) systems to the Process, heavy and light industries sector. We sell customized solutions where the core component (HSS) is either offered as standalone units or integrated in complete systems.
About the job
The responsibilities include driving and developing the sales mainly towards the chemical sector both direct and through interactions with our sales companies around the world. The role includes creating the sales plan together with the Sales Companies in their market planning, both in terms of figures and activities. Taking an active part in implementation as well as in sales and negotiations to ensure we reach our growth targets.
You will also, together with colleagues, strengthen our technical and commercial knowledge related to renewable feedstocks, reuse of material and cyclic shift. You will interact with customers for technology conversion, testing and project sales.
You will support development of sales and marketing for the various products that we offer and engage with employees, business partners and end-users to secure knowledge and inspire effective work.
The position will be based in Tumba and will require around 30-70 travel days per year.
Who are you?
We are looking for an individual that thrives in doing business with a positive attitude and that want to develop with us through a high degree of influence. Essential is showing a strong drive and a technical mind coupled with a passion for improvements. You have a master’s degree in chemical engineering or similar. Alternatively, you have a long experience with separators in the relevant industry. If you also know something about separation in fermentation processes it’s a plus.
You are a process sales professional that is easy to work with, being able to manage complexities and opportunities in varying customer situations. You can quickly establish trust, extract the customer’s need and position our offer right. Your quotations clearly communicate customer appreciated values and you interact with Alfa Laval functions globally, all from different countries and cultures.
