Global Security Operations Security Center (GSOC) Manager (Cybersecurity)
Nasdaq is a leading global provider of trading, clearing, exchange technology, listing, information, and public company services. The Global Security Operations Center is responsible 24x7x365 security monitoring of Nasdaqs IT infrastructure by identifying, detecting, responding to, and containing cybersecurity threats.
The Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and controlling the security monitoring and incident response for Nasdaq during EMEA working hours. This position is critical to managing operations in the EMEA region for the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC).
The GSOC Manager will ensure all security alerts are processed and thoroughly investigated. This position will provide direction to both senior incident responders and analysts within the EMEA region. In addition, this position will be the primary point of contact for issues related to Security Operations within the region to support the 24X7X365 security monitoring for Nasdaq.
Your role and responsibilities
Mentor, motivate, and manage the GSOC daily operations and team within the EMEA region
Oversee the security event monitoring, management and response to security events for Nasdaq to support 24X7X365 operation
Ensure policies, procedures and processes are strictly adhered to
Provide recommendations for enhancements to security monitoring as it relates to Nasdaq businesses and processes
Use technical knowledge and expertise to examine security issues, techniques and implications across multiple computing platforms.
Create reports, dashboards, and metrics measuring the operation effectiveness of the Security Operation Center and report the findings to management on a regular basis
Act as the technical lead for security event and incident notifications from CSIRT and GSOC Analysts
Evaluate, revise and develop processes to strengthen the ability to monitor and respond to security events and incidents
We expect you to have
Degree qualified in Computers Science, Information Systems or other related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of Information Security experience with at least 2 years in a management position
In-depth knowledge of security standards and best practices
Experience in designing and maintaining Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) platforms such as ArcSight, Splunk ES, LogRhythm, McAfee Enterprise Security, or IBM QRadar
Experience in working with complex security investigations and/or incident response
Ability to lead and communicate efficiently within a team environment
Thorough knowledge of Windows, Unix, and network security devices as it relates to security investigations
Experience working in a cloud environment such as AWS, Azure, and/or GCP
Ability to manage multiple security projects and deliverables to ensure on-time delivery
Understanding of Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR) technology and use cases.
It would be great if you have
Completed one of the following Certifications and/or Professionalization status: GSEC, GIAC, CISSP certifications are preferred or be willing to complete upon hire
