Vehicle and Uptime Purchasing is a global organization within GTP representing a yearly purchased spend of 27 BSEK.
The team is responsible for Cab, Vehicle Dynamics, Uptime, Adaptation & Superstructure, Medium Duty Trucks, Circularity & Remanufacturing.
Vehicle & Uptime Purchasing team is responsible to drive end to end purchasing activities whilst securing QDCF-TSR (Quality, Delivery, Cost, Feature, Technology, Sustainability and Risk Management) targets.
Head of Vehicle & Uptime Purchasing is also hosting GTP Russia, GTP Algeria and is the GTP representative in the Renault trucks Executive Management team.
Within Vehicle & Uptime Purchasing, we, CVD Cooling and Fluid Management Team, are looking for a Global Segment Leader & Commodity Buyer - Cooling Management, located in Lyon (France) or Göteborg (Sweden) with travels required occasionally.

To qualify for the position, you have some years of purchasing experience, preferably in automotive, with adequate academic education: Master of Science or Business Administration.
WHAT is the job?
Drive the development of the segment strategies for Cooling Management Components, including Cooling Modules, Conventional and E-Fans, Battery Cooling Plates businesses by being part of the early phase investigations with our engineering teams to support Volvo’s strategic objectives
Strengthening Volvo’s competitive advantage by understanding the business needs and the supplier market
Manage and develop the supplier base, using categorization, segmentation, evaluation, etc. to establish the appropriate levels of relationship
Drive Strategic line activities with global Team
Drive all relevant activities to deliver on QDCFTSR targets during the production phase and after production phase for the scope as Commodity Buyer
Prepare and report Key Performance Indicators development to key stakeholders
Drive optimization, synergies and share best practices within the Volvo Group
Negotiate upcoming requests and contracts with suppliers
Actively contribute to the team development, by bringing improvement ideas, support your peers, coaching buyers when relevant, sharing good cases
