Your focus area will be:
Global segment leader and Senior Buyer will be responsible to develop and drive the global strategy for Volvo Group. Accountable for the Quality, Delivery, Cost, Feature, Technology, Sustainability, and Risk Management (QDCFTSR) of suppliers within the Chemicals segment. You will be responsible for ensuring that the segment business plan is implemented through the selection of the right suppliers, and by continuously securing supplier QDCFTSR performance by using the tools and purchasing/cross-functional network during production
Lead the global network of commodity buyers, securing synergies & best practice sharing. Actively participate in the strategic line activities
Develop the segment business plan (strategy) and action plan together with the buyers, as well as key stakeholders to support Volvo’s strategic objectives. You will ensure cross functional alignment
You will be globally responsible to drive activities in the segment and build strategy, you will also manage operational activities in Belgium, France & Sweden
Support Commodity buyers different activities eg; negotiations, supplier issues for global segments as an escalation point, business model, review meetings etc..
Execute local/regional/global sourcing activities within the segment to the defined project timelines and approved sourcing strategies. Carry out global/regional contract negotiations and management
Securing the performance in accordance with the purchasing focus areas
Identify and drive synergies with other Business Areas when relevant and share best practices within the Volvo Group
You will be the one point of contact for one of the interesting area and contribute in future development of chemicals which should be more sustainable and with low emission levels
Analyzing and proposing new way of buying and securing Volvo Group wanted position
Work closely with production and technology on future chemicals and work on optimization
Develop, negotiate, and implement strategies resulting in improved supply chain performance, enhanced product quality, innovative technology, and maximum value
Monitor, identify, and mitigate risks in cooperation with the Supplier Quality & Development
Forecast cost evolution for scope of responsibility
Perform daily operational purchasing activities

Qualifications
Since we don’t know you yet, we might not have everything right about your background and experience. But we do know that we need someone with the ability to drive change. The most important thing for us is that you are:
Business graduate with experiences in strategic and operational purchases. Having experience in chemicals segment and production related purchases will be advantageous
Analytical, structured, and able to handle multiple tasks at the same time
Always willing to improve, both yourself and your work environment
Driven, Responsible, self-going
A true team player, attitude make it easy to establish trust and network
High potential and ambition
Fluent in spoken and written English, proficient in the Swedish & French language is an added advantage
We also believe you have an adequate academic education and experience from the area of purchasing with a negotiation background.
The position is in- Sweden, Göteborg or France, Lyon
