Global Software Engineering Manager

SSC is now looking for a Global Software Engineering Manager to join the Satellite Management Service division. Your Role
As the Global Service Delivery System Manager your role will be to lead and develop global multi-functional software and IT teams within the Satellite Management Service Operations (SaMS) which is the second largest division. Your responsibilities involve ensuring timely delivery of software development projects and related support systems. Support the service assurance and lifecycle management through regular monitoring and feedback. As well as increase efficiency through the development of flexible and highly automated scheduling and commissioning systems.

You will be leading the overall digitalization of the SaMS production systems as well as contributing to the overall SSC group digital transformation.

Your department consists of approximately 25 employees divided into 4 teams Service & Scheduling Portal, Operations Support Systems Core, Data Analytics & Virtual Platform. 

You will report to head of Service Delivery & Operations. This position located either at our Swedish headquarters in Solna (Stockholm), at Esrange Space Center (Kiruna) or in our US office in Horsham (Pennsylvania).

Your department is responsible for:

OSS Core and M&C systems
Scheduling system
Customer Portals and APIs
Data Analytics
Cloud and Virtual Platforms

Who are you?

We are looking for an experienced and engaging leader with several years of proven leadership experience in a software development or technical field. You have solid experience of resource planning and management, and you should have experience of change management and driving digital transformation. You probably have own experience from working as a Software Engineer/developer in the past. Also, you need to have a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field and strong communication skills in English. 

If you have experience within the space industry and knowledge within automation, cloud computing, virtual platforms, or data & analytics it a big plus. Good knowledge of System Engineering processes is also beneficial.
