Purpose of the role
As a System engineer at Global support you will provide 3rd level support for all Ascom regions and partners. You will also have the opportunity to work as Global Service Consultant for specific business critical projects. When required provide trainings for 2nd line 1st Line support staff. As part of a global team it international travel will be part of your daily work
Major Tasks and responsibilites
• to provide Global Service consultancy for Ascom Wireless
• to provide 3rd level support for Ascom Regions, partners and OEM
• to provide trainings for Ascom 1st and 2nd line support staff.
Key experience, competencies
• Education: Relevant engineering degree (Computer, Engineering or Engineering Technology or equivalent training is preferred)
• 3-5 years experience of Ascom Solutions
• Strong IP-knowledge
• Knowledge of VOIP, VoWiFi
• Knowledge of wireless technologies –VoWiFi, WLAN, GSM/3G/LTE technology
• CCNA or CCNP certified
• Strong analytical & problem solving skills
• Experience of trouble shooting in mission critical systems
• Direct and open-minded approach
• Fluent in English, additional languages is a merit
• Strong team player with independent mind
• Strong customer orientation
• Knowledge and working experience of project management
• Structured, self-going, proactive and with pragmatic attitude
• Strong communicator and negotiator
• Easy in contact and direct / open in communication
