The Global Support Manager - Applications has the responsibility for organizing, managing and following up application support within Sandvik Mining and Construction (SMC) in a consistent way.You will manage and coordinate a team of internal resources and external suppliers as well as work with the regional support organizations to establish the appropriate global and regional support.Key performance areas Your main responsibilities are to: . Implement and maintain a common Support process for all standard application areas within SMC.. Organize and manage the application support by utilizing an internal support organization and external resources and suppliers.. Analyze and establish necessary support competence and capacity through recruitments or alliances with external parties.. Manage contacts and agreements with suppliers.. Interact with regional IT organizations to establish appropriate balance in capacity and competence between regional and global support organizations.. Follow-up and analyze support needs and requirements and have a pro-active view suggesting improvements and training to reduce support needs. The position is based in any of the major SMC sites, preferably in Sandviken, Sweden.Your profile A relevant university degree and five to ten years of work experience within a similar area is required, preferably from supporting an ERP application in an international environment.It is also important that you have knowledge of business processes and development of IT applications.In addition you are analytical and organized.You are a team player and also have the ability to both manage the team's and your own work to then deliver the required output.It is essential that you have good communication skills and are fluent in English, both written and verbal.Annual sales 2007 amounted to about SEK 33,100 M, with approximately 15,200 employees.
