Global System Responsible – Valvetrain

Position description


This is a position for an engineer skilled and interested in advanced systems
for future sustainable engine technologies. We have a rapid pace in introducing
technologies to lead our way to reduce our CO2 foot-print including a high
focus on non-fossil fuels.


As global system responsible for our valvetrain systems, You will be the centre
person in a designer team of some 4 persons and with lots of interactions with
other technologies and parts of our organization. We are a global company
and You will be expected to also have good cooperation with engineering departments
in Volvo’s other sites.


Responsibilities
All system related items will fall on Your table
system requirements
technology strategies within Your area
define technology to be used in new projects
coordinate design related activities

Focus is all the way from early advanced engineering, through implementation and
including quality issues when in production. You will have good support from
simulation, testing, quality and other teams within Volvo.


Who are You


We believe that You have an education equivalent to B.Sc. or M.Sc.
in mechanical engineering and that You have some year of experience,
preferably from the automotive industry.


As a person, you like to interact with persons and to build net-works.
You love mechanical engineering and to drive technology from advanced
engineering all the way to production.
