Your tasks and responsibilities:
Product & Data Management:
Maintain Global product map, data of items used per customer and the products performances
Provide basic data (baseline performance, expected improvement etc) to generate business case for product development.
Plan, attend/support product changes at customers globally and monitor, report on product performances
Participate in identified customer projects
Support account management team with regular reviews of ink performance. Jointly establish and track KPi’s to monitor performance globally.
Quality :
Drive troubleshooting of ink performance in partnership with customers. Investigate and document claims and complaints. Analyse data and indicate potential areas for product improvement.
Regular technical follow-up with our InHouse Managers at customers to capture “early alerts”.
Qualifications:
Practical knowledge of Flexo printing, prepress operations or packaging converting processes
Experienced in problem solving, continuous improvements and project management
Knowledge of ink room operations is a plus
Experience in Inks/Coatings, Chemical and/or process industry is an advantage
Fully fluent in English
Team-player with good ability to communicate convincingly within a global, multi-cultural environment.
Likes to connect with people and build networks
Data-driven, curious and eager to learn
Advanced knowledge in MS-Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
Willingness to travel including periods up to several weeks is essential
Comfortable to work independently and at a distance
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in printing, natural sciences or engineering OR relevant industry experience
Technical Specialist is a new global role in our Business Unit for the Liquid Food Packaging Market. The focus is on the use of our ink products within the printing/converting process at our customers where you are comfortable to be present and hands-on. You will be part of our Global team, responsible for managing our products and their printing performances towards our customers. You will own the data collection and analysis of product performance in use including problem solving and claim investigation and resolution. Our central R&D team will rely on your data and analysis. You have a structured and logical approach towards problem solving and continuous improvements and will use proven methodologies & tools. You will manage tests and implement improved ink products. Demonstrating the improvement generated by the implementation to the customer in comparison to an established baseline of performance will be an integral part of this process. Even if travel and on-site visits are important you will also work with improving our remote service capabilities through new tools and processes.
