We’re now looking for a curious, communicative and business-oriented Global Technical Support Specialist. About the job
As a Global Technical Support Specialist, you’re a member of Sandvik Coromant’s Global Sales Operations team, with accountability for the strategic direction of the global sales organization. Together with us, you actively work to establish and reach the objectives of the sales operations function. You’re responsible for technical support for products, applications and digital solutions related to our total offering, and you interact with our customers, partners and internal employees by using the phone or chat function of our contact center solution, MS Teams or email. You always ensure high quality and a friendly service approach, and you document all necessary information about the service ticket in our CRM system.
As you’re a main point of contact for our customers, you make sure to listen to their needs and challenges and follow up on customer satisfaction. You also generate further sales, capture leads and help us turn this into new business opportunities. Working with improvements, sharing best practices and enabling great collaboration are other important parts of your job.
The location for this position is truly flexible – you can work from home or from any of our offices in Europe, but it’s a great advantage if your home is close to one of our sites. You need to be located in a European country as relocation services is not provided by Sandvik for this position.
About you
You have a minimum of two years’ experience from a metal cutting manufacturing environment, and good knowledge of the tools and solutions used within Sandvik Coromant is a strong advantage. This is also combined with an eagerness to always educate yourself further when it comes to new product offerings and industry trends. You’re used to process work and troubleshooting, and you have the ability to read and understand customer part drawings. As you interact with our stakeholders worldwide, you easily adapt to cultural differences. You’re fluent in written and spoken English, and you offer chat support (and for some countries phone support) in different languages using our contact center solution and translation tool. Knowledge in French, Spanish or Italian is highly beneficial.
You’re a genuine problemsolver, who happily shares your technical expertise with both our customers and your team to ensure first class support. With service on top of mind and great communication skills, you interact in a professional and supportive manner, and you’re confident as you suggest the best possible solutions to our stakeholders. You consider yourself a true ambassador for our products and solutions, and you’re committed to team work, new ideas and great results.
