We are now looking for the Global Technology Manager for Technical Support.
What´s the role?
As Global Technology Manager for Technical Support you will build, lead and engage an engineering team that support V.A.S. and its customers. You and the team will be the first line of technical support in the operation of our customer transport systems. This includes tasks like:
On-site trouble shooting & repair and back-office support. You will also manage upgrades and modifications of the transport systems during the operation.
To set up and follow up Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and statistic information of our Transport systems’ quality, efficiency, and uptime.
Be the coordinator of V.A.S. internal incident management team, where any incident or accident is evaluated, communicated, and coordinated.
Our transport systems are based on Volvo Group’s high quality base products (trucks and machines). You will interact with Volvo Group Trucks Technology, Volvo Construction Equipment, etc. to resolve any quality issues and to prioritize long term improvements (product maintenance items). In a similar way, you will also interact with the entire V.A.S Technology team to resolve issues and prioritize needed system improvements of the Autonomous Driving System (ADS), etc.
This position is based in Sweden, either in the Gothenburg or Eskilstuna office. You will be part of the Management Team of Transport Systems and Machines/Vehicles in Volvo Autonomous Solutions Technology organization. This organization includes our Strategy & Operational Excellence function and our Transport Systems function.
