Position overview
The TMS is at the heart of our global outbound operations and the primary driver behind our transport logistics. In order for the TMS to run smoothly we require a TMS SuperUser to enable it. In this role, you will act as our in-house expert and will ensure that our Volvo cars get from A to B smoothly, efficiently, and innovatively.
You will be part of the Global Outbound Deployment team located in Gothenburg (Sweden) and you will work in an international environment together with colleagues based in the US and China.
This role offers an exciting blend of tech management and strategic optimization.

What you’ll do
System Management & Maintenance:
* Oversee and maintain the TMS platform, ensuring its effective functionality and integration with other systems
* Manage and maintain business owned master data in the TMS
* Configure the TMS software to meet our business needs and requirements
* Implement and maintain routes and transport methods within the systems
* Follow up on deviations, solve logistical errors and apply long-term solutions
* Support application change requests together with business stakeholders
* Support the requirements and Information gathering to support TMS Design and Implementation
* Act as a subject matter expert (SME) to ensure voice of business in TMS development
* Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or errors related to the TMS software, such as data integrity, connectivity, and functionality
* Provide technical support and guidance to end users of the TMS software, such as outbound deployment teammembers, customers, and vendors
* Collaborate with other IT staff and TMS vendor Software representatives to ensure the smooth integration and operation of the TMS software with other systems and applications
* Stay updated on the latest features and enhancements of the TMS and recommend improvements or upgrades as needed


Continuous Improvement:
* Define and maintain Processes and standard operating procedures
* Participate in and support investigations, pre-studies and User Acceptance tests driven by needed changes
* Work closely with IT and vendor support teams to implement and test new features
* Facilitate change management process overview presentations to team members and act as SME for any new change implemented that might impact Logistics team and logistics suppliers. 


User Training & Support:
* Act as the first point of contact for TMS-related issues, providing support and solutions as needed
* Create SOPs and Work Instructions for TMS Users
* Equip our team with the know-how to utilize the TMS efficiently and effectively, ensuring smooth internal operations


Collaboration & Strategy:
* Assist management in strategic decisions by providing data-driven recommendations
* Collaborate with surrounding teams (engineering, operations, digital) to ensure alignment of transportation strategies.

We also believe you have:
* Relevant experience of at least +5 years in supply chain and logistics, or quivalent combination of University education and work experience
* Experience implementing and configuring TMS systems in an OEM environment is a diferenciating factor
* Experience working in or implementing ProAct TMS desirable, but not required
* Experience in supporting / managing IT applications
* Ability to work in, and understand multiple systems and their interactions
* Basic project management skills
* Ability to prioritise in a high demanding area
* Ability to develop and maintain cross-functional and global networks
* Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
* Good communication and cooperative skills
* Knowledge of the Volvo IT systems (ATACQ, TMS, Ihub, Vista) are meritorious
* Experience in working with Power BI and developing or understanding RPA processess are a plus.
* Fluent in English (written/spoken)
