The Global Trade and Customs function is a newly formed part of the Supply Chain Collaborative Network at H&M Group. The organization aims at mitigating global trade risks and driving opportunities for optimization along our supply chain through monitoring, advising and influencing on global trade & customs developments. It reinforces our collaborative way of working on trade issues and creates cross-functional synergies. It ensures operational and legal compliance as well as understanding of custom formalities.
We are now looking for a Global Trade Adviser to join our team!
As part of the Global Trade and Customs team within the Supply Chain organization your main responsibility will be to contribute to taking best business decisions through monitoring, advising and influencing on global trade issues while encouraging proactivity along the supply chain. An important part of your role will be to promote and defend H&M group’s global trade interest with international decision-makers and other external stakeholders.
As Global Trade Adviser you will report to the Head of the Global Trade and Customs function who is located in Stockholm, Head Office. You will collaborate intensively cross-functionally.
Job Description
Your responsibilities will be to:
Monitor international trade developments.
Facilitate informed decisions along the supply chain.
Give internal advising on international trade changes to optimize the business.
Work towards a positive regulatory business environment. Meaning to promote and defend H&M group’s interests in various external forums through maintaining proactive dialogue with decision-makers (Public Affairs).
Lift trade obstacles and improve the way we work with compliance in all markets.
Qualifications
We believe that you have/are:
A solid previous experience (minimum 5 years) from working in the field of global supply chain. An understanding of H&M group business processes is an advantage, but not a demand.
A solid previous experience in the field of Public Affairs and regulatory compliance (5 years minimum). You understand international trade lawmaking and decision-making processes.
Experience with Internal communication and creative ideas about how to share business critical information.
On top of the international trade agreements that are relevant for the company.
The ability to quickly understand the impact of external changes for the group’s operations.
A person that likes to take initiative and find creative solutions to complex issues.
Networking skills and you already have a relevant network of contacts in the field of Global Trade and Public Affairs. You have worked with stakeholder engagement.
Excellent English skills both written and verbal.
A flexible mindset and like the idea of being part of a new team with possibilities for development and growth.
Additional information
This is a full-time permanent position in our Head Office in Stockholm, but we are open to look at placements in another location. Start-date as soon as possible.
