Product Owner
Description - External
The Product Owner for Fluke Health Solutions (FHS) is a key leadership role within the Product Management team. The Product Owner is responsible for partnering with the Product Manager to transform the product vision into reality. The role requires significant collaboration with customers and other stakeholders to understand their needs, iterate on solution design, and prioritize feature/solution development. In addition, the role requires significant collaboration with hardware and software engineers to ensure features are prioritized appropriately and are released on time. The Product Owner will also assist the Product Manager with product requirements documents, and on informing the product roadmap through continuous engagement with customers and FHS R&D teams. The current solution includes workflow automation software for testing of medical devices to ensure regulatory compliance and patient safety. Catering to software and hardware-enabled workflows is a critical & highly strategic priority within FHS, so strong communication skills, high business acumen, and an analytical & strategic mindset are also required.
The duties include but are not limited to:
• Translate the business requirements into user stories targeting customers and other stake holders (Dev, QA, Ops, Support Desk, connectivity, etc.) including the creation of clear use cases or user stories and epics based on business requirements.
• Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
• Collaborate with and motivate a cross-functional team of designers, developers, testers and others to develop, execute, and release in alignment with product roadmaps.
• Transition the product vision into an actionable backlog
• Manage, prioritize, and assess the impact of all work items, such as new features, defects, non-functional requirements, product backlog
• Manage the backlog of work to ensure the team always has an adequate amount of prioritized work per sprint and that the backlog is in line with the Business Product Managers vision, strategy and ROI numbers.
• Assist with functional testing, including reviewing and accepting or declining output of development to ensure specified acceptance criteria have been completed.
• Act as the first point of contact for any queries relating to product features or business requirements. Escalate to Product Manager as required.
• Assist in creation of training materials, marketing materials, and support documentation and provide support in creation of presentation materials or research as directed.
• Serve as liaison between business teams and development teams.

Qualifications - External
• 5+ years in a Product Owner role
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business from an accredited university or equivalent degree/experience
• Product owner certification preferred
