Wire Harness/Product Engineer Team Leader:

As a leader of the team you will be required to:

Support design creation, update, review and optimization of assigned project Ensure product integrity compliance Coordination between other Lear internal departments (Sales, Systems, T&C, Purchasing) Engineering process definition, creation, introduction and monitoring Establish, ensure and live team work and team spirit in Team, training and leading of Engineering Team Develop your Team to high performing CAD/Product engineers Coordinate Activities and define priorities within your Team Key contact to Lear LU Leaders
Individual is required to possess product design knowledge in providing input on design direction and changes affecting the product.

As a product engineering team leader, you will be required to coach/delegate/organize/verify and support your team performing following activities:

work in projects to develop and construct the electrical distribution system in different car models with regards to mechanical installation work with the overall development of the wire harness families belonging to your area of ??responsibility 3D modeling of cables in CATIA V5 and creation of 2D drawings in CHS XC or other drawing creation tool Definition of the geometry and installation requirements for new components. Assurance that deliverables follow the overall program timing. Collection of design requirements, specifications and recommendations from many different engineering departments, Systems Engineers, Component Engineers, Process Engineers (assembly), Quality and the Lear production plant Execution of design reviews and FMEA for your products and getting them approved of by other departments and customers.


Qualifications:

Technical university (mechanical engineer is preferred) and some years of experience in construction work in the automotive. Experience with automotive industry OEMs’ systems, Catia V5 Electrical Wire Harness, CHS XC, KDP, TCe and Product Manager (PM) is an advantage as well.

You have good knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc).

Language: Fluent English. German is advantageous.

Our office is located in Plzen, Czech Republic. Your services involve frequent customer contacts and much collaboration with Lear's global development office. Travels outside of Czech Republic are likely. As a person you are flexible and independent, gladly initiative and not afraid of taking responsibility. You should feel well in a fast-paced environment, high expectations and with project oriented work. A good social skills and good interpersonal skills are essential. Experience in leading and managing team of employees is essential merit. For the right person there are good opportunities for development.
