We at Modis are looking for a Grade Development Engineer for an exciting role at a world leading, international customer.

About the role

The grade development engineer participates in the development of materials (grades) for cutting tool inserts (turning or milling inserts). Together with a senior project team the grade development engineer suggests material solutions (substrates, coating and surface treatments) to fulfill specified requirements.

You will also plan performance testing (turning or milling tests) of suggested solutions, perform tests together with technicians in the lab and be responsible for reporting the results (with conclusions) and communicate the results.

About you

If you are a passionate team player with the drive to deliver great results, you will fit perfectly for this role.

We believe that you have a degree in relevant area, such as mechanical engineering.

Experience from working with material research or product development combined with customer interaction is advantageous along with practical or theoretical experience of metal cutting. Experience in writing reports and analyzing results of projects and tests and presenting these is also considered as a plus.

We put strong emphasis on personal qualities and we believe you are target-driven and structured with strong analytical skills and a curious mind.

Fluency in English and Swedish, written and oral, is a requirement.
