Graphene, a single layer of carbon atoms, is one of the most amazing and versatile substances available to mankind. It is the lightest and thinnest compound known, yet remarkably strong, transparent, yet electrically conducting and impermeable to even the smallest molecules.
The largest EU research initiative ever, the Graphene Flagship, led by Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden was started to coordinate the research and innovation around this substance. Its task? Bring academic and industrial researchers together in order to take graphene from the realm of academia to European society in the space of ten years, thus generating economic growth, new jobs and new opportunities.
Description
The administrative assistant is expected to assist the administrative team at Chalmers. The position includes help with reporting and project planning, booking the team’s travels, handling purchases according to Chalmers regulations (public procurement), monitoring the Director’s email and managing his calendar, and other secretarial duties. The administrative assistant reports to the Flagship’s Head of Administration.
Qualifications
• Fluency in English, both orally and in writing
• A passion for IT tools
• Ability to work in an international group in a complex organization
• Attention to details

Terms of employment: The position is placed at Chalmers University of Technology. The position is expected to commence on August 1, 2015, or at a time mutually agreed upon.
