About the role
The HR Director will be responsible for implementing all necessary structural and functional changes to the Nordic HR function to deliver the Nordic People strategy. It is envisioned that the Nordic HR department will take increased responsibility for driving the people and leadership culture, promoting a healthy work life balance, encouraging diversity and inclusion and embedding our organizational values. In this function you will be reporting to the Executive Director and be part of the Senior Management Team. You will be line managing and leading a team consisting of a Nordic HR specialist and a Senior Development Manager.
This is a full time permanent position based in any of the Nordic capitals with significant time spent in Stockholm.
Key responsibilities include
* In line with the organisational strategy, develop and implement the Nordic people strategy across the four regional offices (Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway). The people strategy consists of four main pillars:
a People Resourcing (Recruitment, Secondments, Employer Branding)
b Talent and Career Management
c Training and Development
d Admin, Management Support, Employment law and work council liaison.
* Ensure HR policies and practices meet the strategic needs of the organisation and contribute to overall effectiveness
* Pro-actively identify and develop talent in all its forms, as a strategic partnership between HR, directors and staff.
* Oversee efficient and effective delivery of all routine personnel services and administration by the HR team. Continually seek to improve and develop personnel services to meet organisational needs.
* Ensure HR Information management and reporting support operational decision-making at all levels, and proactively inform strategic HR initiatives
* Manage the relationship and the process/negotiations with the Nordic Work-council and the Swedish ‘Unionen’ Club to ensure a trustful and productive outcomes
About you
You will have extensive HR experience and at least five years experience of leading the HR function in a complex organisation undergoing a period of transformation. You are a flexible leader with a good sense of perspective and focus, have the ability to engage and influence others, understand the link between HR and organisational strategy, can deliver on objectives and are a good communicator.
Specific skills and expertise:
* University degree in management, business administration and / or HR, or equivalent.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in a director/leadership role, preferably in an international organisation.
* Strong working knowledge of employment law.
* Proven ability in staff management and development and working with people from different cultures / backgrounds.
* Demonstrated strategic planning, implementation and project management skills.
* High capacity for teamwork, knowledge sharing, mediation and conflict resolution.
* Fluent in written and spoken English and ideally one Nordic language.
* Results driven and proactive personality. The person holding this position is also approachable, collaborative and has a willingness to learn as well as teach.
