To take lead in defining, developing and implementing the Sandvik Information Management Strategy, we are now looking for a Chief Information Officer (CIO) who finds inspiration in the challenge of bringing our IT function to the next level.
The location for this position is Stockholm, Sweden.
Your challenges
Sandvik has a partially decentralized IT organization with the back end of Enterprise IT in a group function, while the customer related applications, digital offerings and product IT is handled by our business areas and divisions. As Group CIO, you have direct responsibility for the Group IT function, but equally important is that you engage towards a world class enterprise architecture, seamless processes, cybersecurity, digital workforce and overall IT cost optimization for the Group and all its businesses. This will be done through the business area CIOs and the IT Management Team consisting of both group and business area representatives. You’ll have a relevant CIO office to assist you. Further, you’ll take an important role in connecting to and facilitating the development of product IT as well as the digital business.
You report directly to the Executive Vice President and CFO. International and domestic travel is part of the job.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with an academic degree in Business and/or IT, relevant leadership experience and deep understanding of all parts of the IT value chain. You have international experience acquired in an industrial manufacturing environment and a background that comprises working in the Nordics is considered advantageous. Your strong technical skills enable you to challenge and make sound judgments in your area of responsibility. As we operate in a truly global setting, your communication skills in English must be excellent, both verbally and in writing.
