Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

We are looking for an ambitious and eager Group Controller to the Group Controlling department at Scania. We offer a position in an exciting and dynamic environment where you will get the opportunity to apply your expertise on a wide range of topics of highly strategic calibre. You will grow and leverage on your broad network within Scania as you participate in several cross-functional teams.

Job description

Together with two experienced controllers and depending on your experience and interest, your responsibilities might include the group controlling areas listed below.


• Financial evaluations, investigations and calculations
• M&A and Investment Management process coordination
• Coordination of capitalisation of subsidiaries
• Coordination of the Investment process and governance model
• Coordination of Governance policies in the area of controlling
• Lead and execute internal consulting assignments and address top management requests
• Initiate changes to steering model and governance, by tapping into strategy and business development processes

Your profile

You have more than 5 years’ experience from finance positions, with an applicable university degree. You have a good strategic understanding and can apply financial calculations and evaluations to complex challenges. Familiarity with IFRS rules related to M&A transactions including non-controlled shareholdings is a plus. In addition, you are familiar with financial steering models and financial reporting system solutions.

On a personal level, you have a strong sense of responsibility and a well-developed skill in problem solving and analysis. You will, to a large extent, interact with other functions in Scania and frequently be faced with new challenges. Flexibility and communication skills are therefore key. The position also requires fluency in Swedish and English. You will enjoy a high degree of autonomy, and need to be a self-starter and have well developed organisational skills.

You will be located at the global headquarters in Södertälje.
