You have a minimum of 5 years of progressive and diverse experience in data privacy operations, preferably in a global company. In addition, you have demonstrable experience in implementing best practice in data privacy and showcasing privacy by design. You are CIPP/E qualified, or equivalent. You have the knowledge in following areas:
Sound knowledge of data privacy laws and related regulations and the impacts to the IKEA business, for markets within area of responsibility
Sound knowledge of translating requirements from laws and regulations into practical, implementable policies which can be then managed and measured
Good understanding of how the three disciplines of data privacy, information security and information management can both overlap and complement one another
Good understanding of how the IT landscape affects data privacy compliance
Good knowledge of what constitutes best practice in data privacy and how to benchmark IKEA against competitors and market peers

You will, at a Group level, develop and nurture relationships with the Ingka group functions and Data Privacy operations team, using your expertise to provide a support framework for both parties.
But you will also monitor and report compliance of Group functions and create relevant steering documents.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
You will:
At a Group level, support Data Privacy Manager (Group CPO) in leading global data privacy initiatives
Build relationships and expand Data Privacy champion networks, driving data privacy maturity in the following Group functions/ organisations: Group Shared Service Centres, Group Procurement, Group People & Culture, Group Digital (particularly data analytics and science), Group Market Support
Enable above Group functions to implement risk and compliance frameworks
Enriches knowledge of Group functions to provide tailored guidance and advice specific to data privacy issues faced in different business domains, balancing business and compliance objectives
Manage day-to-day queries from above Group functions, utilising subject matter expertise and knowledge of data privacy laws
Support Data Privacy Manager (Group CPO) in developing a ‘Privacy by Design’ culture throughout IKEA, implementing the required processes in relevant Group functions
Monitor laws, industry trends and technologies that impact Ingka Group functions
Establish and maintain relationships with non-EU industry stakeholders (both internal and external) to support compliance with local data privacy laws and regulations
Deputise for the Data Privacy Manager (Group CPO) where required, including attending Group and Country meetings, liaising with Information Security, Data Governance and Cyber Security teams, and developing external networks with industry representatives and regulators

Although this position is currently a standalone role, it is anticipated in future that you will manage a small team to support you in the above activities.
