The Optinova Group is one of the leading global suppliers of advanced tubing solutions for the medical device industry, as well as fluoropolymer tubing for challenging industrial applications, with the purpose of improving quality of everyday life around the world. Our factories are in Jomala and Godby, Åland, Bangkok Thailand and Valley Forge, USA.
The Optinova’s demand and supply Planner will lead globally the delivery demand and the supplies review projections among our key sales accounts and supplies from the four factories and be a key actor in the integrated business planning process. The role is instrumental in balancing our procurement and inventory management with demand. The role has frequent interaction with account coordinators, key account managers, VP Sales and master planners, local Supply Chain Managers as well as Factory Managers.
This role is essential to Optinova as it has a direct contribution to profitable growth journey, global manufacturing footprint optimization and material availability.
The workplace is located at the Nordic sales office in Uppsala, Sweden.
Key responsibility areas:
Demand Plan
Maintain Demand Plan based on itemized forecast from Key Sales Account
Validating of itemized forecasts based on historical forecast accuracy
Data driven assumption on customer opportunity pipeline
Supply Plan
Maintain a Supply Plan baseline per value stream from all factories
Monitoring of group-wide capacity expansion projects
Overlay the baseline with capacity expansions projects, improvement initiatives and new product introductions
Integrated Business Plan
Provide scenarios and facilitate the demand and supply reviews with key stakeholders to provide a balanced approach to the Integrated Business Plan where Finance is the key stakeholder
Visualize the opportunities for growth (delta between demand vs supply)
Provide insights to Plant Managers, Group Supply Chain Manager and Chief Operations Officer on trends and risks
Inventory Management
Develop and implement together with the local Supply Chain Managers an Inventory Management Handbook to professionalize the processes for inventory management (ABC value, XYZ variation) and ABC velocity for optimized warehousing to reduce net working capital and secure our service level to customer
Process and data analysis
Develop and implement processes, and leverage and develop existing tools for data driven decision
Lead Optinova towards a more standardized and digitalized process for Demand and Supply Planning globally
Required experience and education:
Around 2-3 years of work experience in master planning sourcing in Business-To-Business environment
M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering & Management
Required skills:
Senior management level presentations and influence
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Experience or knowledge in production and supply chain planning.
Experience or knowledge in forecasting, data mining, scenario planning and impact analysis
Strategic thinking
Ability to build trust, collaboration in an international environment
Fluency in English and Swedish
